Why is it that as much as I hate housework.....it always feels good when the place looks clean...pity it doesn't inspire me to do more

I got back off my summer holiday in France to DUST!!!!!!

As well as some other stuff the builders have removed a complete wall and raised a ceiling by two foot. As I walked up my stairs I left footprints in the dust  gif

I have hoovered everywhere but until the builders finish next week and I can look at some proper flooring I am living in a dust hole.  I even vacuumed the bricks on the floor.  gif
