The pilot took us right down to the water.



Lakeside hotel with the passenger boats moored alongside.

Just had a look at these and the previous set and what a fantastic set of photos.
With some breath taking views. I will have to get my brother in law to look at these. We are both going on the same balloon and trying to go from the same place if possible.
Can't wait for it just hope we get the same weather you did, and will have to get a wide angle lens for some aerial views my self.

Glad you liked them Peter, the flight was a fantastic experience!

The flights only go in good weather, high wind, heavy rain and it doesn't go, you have to ring them a few hours before take off, it saves you travelling if the flight is called off.

BTW, take a hat or cap with you, if you are tall and have grown through you hair like me, it can get a bit hot on the head if you get in the middle of the basket underneath the burners. :gasp:
