puff........be gone

« on: December 08, 2009, 03:25:40 PM »

went to the first of three today

It was Loui's turn, and have to say one of the shortest but moving nativities i have ever seen.

The choir was made up of senior boys and the seven of them sang with great enthusiasm.

During the first song Mary and Joseph were led in after a little upset when Mary saw mum and wanted to sit on her knee, the next song played.  Along came the angels even the wheelchairs done up with shining stars they looked beautiful.

time for the fourth song and in paraded the shepherds two of them with their head coverings used has masks  :D.   they were quickly settled and the next to the last song played.  The wise men made their entrance has the choir sang about a bumpy road.  At last there he was my Loui his teacher and a TA got him seated and fed him sweets has The whole of the juniors sang or rocked along to we wish you a merry christmas.

Then it was time for the children to return to class.  They kept my Loui seated till the other kids had left, and apart from hitting his teacher once there were no major set backs.

The whole thing lasted about twenty minutes, but thats a long time for children who have the disabilities some of these children have.

Well done to all involved.

Because he can't speak he's got a clapping part in the songs  ... which he has been practicing tonight in bed instead of going to sleep

It was fab, He was fab

His personal TA sat with him throughout.  He had a small snowman partwhere they took turns singing and pretended to melt one by one.

They kept him going until the second to last

His last play (at Chinese New Year) we had to remove him from the school 'cos he caused mayhem

Today we were / are very proud of him  ... he was just bloomin' briliant.  Even the teachers were singin' his praises.
