We are always being told how much is safe for us to drink but do you really take any notice.I'm drinking bulmers at the mo and a pint bottle has 2.5 units in it.....now according to govt guidelines that should be all i should have tonight but i will probably have 3 or 4. That officially makes me a binge drinker but i don't feel i am drnking too much gif

There is a woman called Carole McGiffin(was once married to Chris Evans) who presents on Loose Women and she is known for drinking quite a lot...admits it freely ....now they looked into the health problems drinking can cause and they all took a liver function test and hers came back as normal...SO is the nanny state exaggerating what is truly safe drinking limits ...what do you think  gif

life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved, perfect body- rather we should skid in sideways, vodka in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, screaming WOO HOO! What a ride!

There's been lots of programmes lately, all trying to highlite the 'binge-drinking' waging war against our livers.

They always seem to use females who work long hours weekly and go all out partying over the weekend....they test them and tell them they have the liver of a 50 yr old instead of someone in their twenties.

Its like a scare factor.....but folks just want to enjoy their leisure time in a way that suits them....even if its partying.

I for one won't stop have my glass of wine....john smiths,....vodka.......southern comfort......to name a few..lol gif

In my usual cynical way all I see is a government campaign of fear towards alcohol, as they did and still are with tobacco, to enable them to smack a huge tax on it to control its consumption, in the interest of public health you understand. gif
