My son gets a free travel pass as its over 3 miles to his school but my daughter doesn't (think its about 2.8 miles to greenbank from here gif)

Have just sent his renewal form off and noticed on the back that they are changing the criteria for receiving these passes. Now you can get them if you receive maximum level of working tax credit (income less than 15,575) BUT only if your child is starting high school in september....so cos daughter will be in year 8 she can't have one even though we fill the criteria.....I'm not impressed gif

thats a bit rough !!! can you not apeal about it or is it a done deal. I have heard that the whole of southport's children where going to get a bus pass as a trial to see if it gets cars of the road. sorry to hear of your news though it costs a fortune to get a bus anywhere so I can imagine how you are feeling.
