So 

Howdy HC  It's the scorching summer weather, they're all down the beach.

 

I knew there'd be a simple explanation 

Just me stuck at work then 

aw sorry HC the weekend from hell sat here in a daze now 

Come on down the beach HC, the waters lovely.

Just mind out for the very tiny black creatures with the huge nipping claws

It's a long story 

oh i love a good story  gets settled   

So you caught crabs on the beach did you Argie, come on spill!

Ooooh! that sand gets everywhere 

I've been stuck at work too

Mid 1980's, Formby Point. One of those top days from your youth that gets burnt into your memory and when you remember it, it always seems like yesterday..

Group of about 10 of us spent the day round a campfire on the beach.. most of the day we were taking it in turns to surf the sand on an old tyre which one lad had tied to the back of his Fiat X1-9 but at some point we decided it was time to go for a swim 

Got quite far out before one lad suddenly leapt out of the water like a dolphin screaming something about 'them being everywhere', before hot tailing it back to shore in a cloud of spray

Next knows another of us pegged it outta there

Then I felt something stinging away

Lad #1 was absolutely not wrong, water was full of these blighters.. like a black swimming speck of dust with 2 humungous claws. Waaaaaa.. mummy!

 

Another one stuck at work here too...but managed to get out with the little ones this afternoon

  I was on holiday last week that's why I hadn't posted and someone managed to overtake me in the arcade
