i don't really use my phone a lot and infact for the past few months have paid more for the contract bill than i have for calls

I was with BT fusion and paying around £26 just for the rental

as the contract is up soon and i can't seem to recieve incoming calls on the damned phone anyway

trying to decide what i should opt for next

PAYG for me, my first £10 top up lasted my over 18 months, I've been running on free £5 top ups since.

I've got 40 pence left on this one, got 2 more free £5 top ups so will be changing my number again soon, then may have to pay.

big spender me eh?

had a look at some in Asda today

the young lad behind the counter was great  told me instead of buying an expensive phone i could get one a decent one for under sixty, i just had to ensure it was one that would take a memory card for the music downloads and they were around a tenner

so PAYG looks pretty tempting

There ya go ............ gif

But you need to look at you average spnd and calculate the PAYG cost....as its more to use than contract......

I pay £25pm on contract..on PAYG id be paying a lot more for the same usage...

my average spend is £10 every 18 months Qwackz, I only reply to texts from my kids, I never phone anyone on it.

if ever I've needed to phone someone on a mobile (very rare) I use the kids phones who are on contracts with free calls.

God I'm a tight sod. gif

Made me cringe the other day

I was in Carphone warehouse......

This lady was buying a mobile for her young daughter......

The daughter wanted the latest mobile but they were over £200 on PAYG.......

she says....look mum...its free on contract......and you dont have to wory about me running out of credit if im in an emergency so youl have peace of mind........

Mum says......but that means itl come out of my bank account each month so il be paying for it.......

No mum...she says ...il just give you the money that id have spent topping up......

Ring a bell mums?.....yer right........... gif

A word of warning Cas - mobile signals can be poor around our area depending on network.
I've found vodafone to be best for signal strength, so i've stuck with them.
Would advise inviting a few friends round with phones on different networks to see which work before deciding which network to go on. I've been told virgin is particularly cr@p down our road  gif
