Reports on the BBC at the moment of some serious falls across the world's stock markets - apparrently Singapore has now fallen into official recession, the nikkei doesn't look healthy at all even compared to the current general atmosphere  gif

Yahoo is a good site to keep an eye on markets around the world:

3 month chart for the FTSE 100
Longer time period, more markets

Here's a GDP graph:

Unemployment:

Worrying for those with pensions, savings or investments of any kind. Or anything connected to the global economy really. Good luck folks.

Clerics in Teheran have proclaimed that they are very happy that America is in trouble - "God is punishing them". Whoa slow down boys, this is heading toward a real global recession & it's going to affect you too  gif

Id wait jack..........................one of the main reasons for the banks going boobies up is people get a sniff at trouble and withdraw thier savings.

Something in the papers today about RBS and another being nationalised

I guess that's good news for folks with savings in those banks.
