Spent most of the day wiping down every last horizontal surface in the house - very very fine black dust absolutely everywhere  gif

Even those patterny bits in kitchen cupboard doors have caught it within the recesses

Is it one of those "dust from the sahara falling out the sky" things? Anyone else been affected?

The other option I guess is, I was up the ladder clearing out the gutters yesterday. I was just chucking the collected grime down on the ground then sweeping it up after.. it could have blown inside I guess.

Let us know if you've noticed it too folks

Glad I've had the windows shut while I've been painting then.
I don't enjoy decorating & I'd hate to have to do it twice!!
Hope it clears before I have to open the windows to do the gloss  gif

I've just thought - I bet it's fine topsoil blowing off the ploughed fields on the moss.
The top layer of soil is so dry & dusty the wind will be blowing dust all over  gif

It's the right sort of colour & texture for that if you sweep it up into a little pile  gif
