Well were should I start  gif my ebay has had a hoax bidder bidding on my items that ended last night. So ive been trying to sort that out and Ive been receiving really harrassing emails off the bidder  gif. Today my 2 eldest daughters went to the V festival,my eldest rang me earlier saying that my other daughter has had her ticket stolen. Luckily my eldest has managed to buy her another one off a tout but its only for the 2 day concert and does not allow her to be in the camping area,so they are having to sneak her in and out. Plus my ex husband has told them its tough and hes not willing to help them. So I've spent most of the day on the phone to my daughters trying to sort it out

Oh no, what a day. At least they've managed to get a ticket and I am sure they will have a great time even with the mishap. gif

Probably I was just unlucky early on.. had a couple of things within my first 10 or 20 transactions not turn up & I found that when push really comes to shove, ebay couldn't give a monkeys to help.

All fine while the getting's good.. just felt a bit burned, sure it's probably allright 99% of the time

Thats because they are sending you fake ebay links....hopeing you will think them real and sign in to your account...which will take you a fake log in screen where the scamers then odtain your password...................... gif

Go into the "Community" section at the top of the page and paste there usernane into the "Enter user I.D. box"

This will tell you if there susspended etc

I believe the best thing to do with nigerian scammers is to drop absolutely all contact with them and write it off as a bad job. Send the details to ebay / complain, whichever way that works (not well up on ebay's procedures these days) - but don't get drawn into any kind of dialogue with the scammer. Experts at social manipulation, a dialogue is exactly what they need in order to scam you further. deny them that & you win. Sure, might lose cash on that one transaction, maybe a few ebay 'brownie points' however that works these days.. but carrying on a convo with a nigerian scammer only lets them win in most cases.

It was ebay's complete failure to respond or help in any way on a similar issue that lowered my opinion of the service so much.

I like most have had the spoof email...making out a seller or buyer is asking you a question about your item etc..... gif

As ive said before...DONT open ANY links in the e-mail as there links to a fake ebay site that asks you to sign into your account...(Pretty convincing)....but all your doing is entering you account detail on a harvesting site for then to steal your details......

ALL GENUINE messages/questions from ebay will be duplicated in your "Messages"...on your ebay account...... gif

Ive had 2 such scams that have purched my items.....i immediatly got a suss bidder alert from ebay warning me that the transaction is null and void........i fiiled a final value fee and got the credit back straight away.............. gif
