don't mind a few light hearted comments but intended as a serious thread

I lived my late teens in the eighties

we endured thatcherism and learnt about a new killer decease called AIDS

Yes there was a drug culture but i don't believe it was as rife as it is now, and gang culture wasn't something that came daily on the news.

If i had the choice of living my teens now i think i would honestly turn it down.

In a way I would as I would change some stuff but the thought of going through the stresses of teen years ....scarey

life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved, perfect body- rather we should skid in sideways, vodka in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, screaming WOO HOO! What a ride!

I suppose with rose tinted spectacles maybe, but it wasn't really that easy was it. Lots of fun at times but back to reality gif

My late teens were in the 60's, ...free sex, ...erm! where? ...drugs, ...no comment, ...and booze, ...lots of it. gif

In December 1964 at the age of 19 I joined the Fire Service, my life changed, I had to behave and act responsibly, .......what a bummer.

Relive my teens? I dont think so, although I'd like to still chase the teenage girls. gif gif gif gif

Can we still have foresight? or would we not remember what we know now!

I enjoyed my teenage years, didn't cause any problems and learn't loads ... so I think I would go back - only for a short while though

sorry question mis leading i mean in this  era

i know as jack says we see our youth through rose tinted glasses most of the time, but i honestly believe in a lot of ways the kids have it much harder these days.
