perfection is keeping them under 5 yoa!

« on: September 30, 2008, 07:42:19 PM »

my back went at 2pm sunday afternoon, i was picking my very large baby outta his cot and my whole lower back spasmed.  i managed to get onto bed and thats where i've stayed when the nurse came out yesterday morning she asked if muscular or i thought cud be slipped disk, as my whole lower back was locked and pure agony to touch i said muscular, now i've had injection of anti inflamatories and valium muscle relaxant and cocodamol i can move to a sitting position (well kind of) but then the pressure on the bottom of my back becomes unbearable and i cant feel my legs.  has any1 had similar and does it sound like trapped nerve or slipped disc? any advice appreciated x

I was medically discharged from the fire service following a fall from a roof which damaged my back, when mine goes, the only way I can ease it is to kneel down and curl up and stretch my back as hard as I can, it hurts like hell but relieves the pain somewhat.

My lot laugh their conker off when they see me doing it, I suppose it does look funny to them watching me stretch and shout, but what the hell it works.
