Ha! ha! you can't see me.

« on: May 11, 2008, 09:14:13 PM »

To help me give up smoking I've needed other things to replace the ciggies,  gif my vice was mint imperials, I love them, in fact I've been eating them by the handful, crunching them all day and night.

I've been feeling really crap lately putting it down to the side effects of the anti smoking drug, so last Tuesday I stopped taking it, but the side effects got worse, as well as the horrendous dry throats I became confused (don't laugh) had problems with my balance and my eyesight has been effected.

Then it dawned on me, I'm diabetic, mint imperials are almost pure sugar, I was overdosing on mints, until now I've controlled my diabetes with my diet, but the mints have put paid to that, I ended up at the hospital, as well as my blood sugars being far to high, the excess sugar in my blood has given me an infection.

The doctor wanted to admit me into hospital over the weekend to try and get my blood count down but I managed to resist that, I'm just trying to sort it myself with antibiotics and a good diet.

So this silly boy is not a happy bunny at the moment, how could I not realise the sugar content of those mints.

Anybody want a large bag of mint imperials and a big bag of assorted lollipops, I wont be eating any more.

I'm still NOT smoking though. gif gif
