Sadly Millie my Daughters cocker Spaniel lost her fight with illness last night and passed away, Millie was the Mother of my little dog Meg, my daughter got her shortly after we got our beloved Sam, they grew up together, we loved her as one of our own.

Having already gone blind Millie had developed diabetes needing injections twice daily, and severe weight loss, the poor mite never complained, she was a fantastic dog, yesterday she seemed to give up, we took her to the vet who diagnosed her organs were shutting down, we had to make the devastating decision to let her go.

At least now she is free from all her illnesses and is running free with her best friend Sam in doggy heaven.

God bless both of you.

This is Millie with Sam.

life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved, perfect body- rather we should skid in sideways, vodka in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, screaming WOO HOO! What a ride!

Oh no Bill, that is so sad, you must be devastated losing her so soon after losing your dog.

Huge hugs to you and Sue

Thanks again guys.  gif

Yes Bangers we are all devastated, but the time had come, Millie had fought so hard but the little mite had had enough, we couldn't keep her going, it would have been selfish to keep her alive any longer, the Vets and nurses were brilliant with her, but they agreed to it was time to let her go, hopefully Sam has found her and they are happy again together. gif
