MP tells of favourite Beatles song

When recently asked what her favourite Beatles song is, MP Rosie Cooper said Help!

And as the West Lancs Labour Group descends into disarray the choice could not be more apt.

Party stalwart and long term County Councillor Chris Cheetham has said that he fears the party could "go to the dogs" as egos become more important than the message. Alan Bullen, another pillar of the party, was humiliated as he offered to stand as a councillor.

And the nightmare continued at the polls on May 1 as Burscough West and Up Holland fell and Tanhouse warned of the price of complacency.

The Champion picked a few more of the Fab Four's songs for the struggling West Lancs party.

Hard Days Night (at the local election)

Come Together (to Chris Cheetham)

Ticket to Ride (on expenses)

We Can Work it Out (the West Lancs Labour group)

Nowhere man (Gordon Brown)
