this is whats happening where i live :

just been informed..it is due to go off at 2pm today  gif


POLICE are today urging  residents not to go back to their homes which were evacuated after a huge wartime bomb was found on the beach

Up to 1,200 people were told to leave their homes by police and asked to seek shelter with friends and family. Many families spent the night at Sports Centre



the police spokeswoman warned that residents had been seen going back to their homes within the cordon.

She said: "We are now approaching the most dangerous phase of the operation.

"The bomb squad are due to be moving the bomb very shortly this morning. This is a critical time when the bomb may be detonated and we do not want people in their homes at the time.

"If the bomb goes off this could cause substantial damage."

Experts from the Royal Navy's Bomb Disposal Unit said the 500kg Second World War bomb - thought to be one of the largest ever to be washed up on Britain's coastline - had the potential to "flatten" a huge area of seafront if it exploded

I am 5 mins away by car from the seafront

A few of my friends had to find alternative accomadation last night,and familiar faces where on regional news last night as they took to there beds at a local sports centre !

I havent heard anything funnily enough ..Ive been in the garden over an hour trimmings bushes eyc

No big bang here !!! its now in the sea & they hope to let it go off tomorrow now.


residents are now allowed to return back to there homes though

so there most not be much danger !!
