The newsagent told me to leave........esspecialy when i asked if i could pay with the credit card............................ gif

My parents owned a sweet shop in Birkdale when I was a teenager and I used to love our penny sweet tray.....the chocolate mice and shrimps were my favourite gif

we also had rows and rows of weigh out sweets to buy by the quarter ....everything from rainbow sherbet to pontefract cakes gif

you don't see many shops like that now apart from the one on Coronation Walk

then again when yu think back to being kids they weren't very hygienic were they all those grubby hands handling the goods  gif

There is a stall in Wigan market hall that does the sweets in a jar, I used to love the strawberry bonbons and ginger nuts (no rude comments)  gif gif gif gif

I love going to woolies getting the sweets, have a bit of everything, always get a shock when I get to the till  gif gif

The sweet shop in Ainsdale Village, the one by the italian restaurant, does quarter sweets - I got some strawberry bon bons and cinder toffee on Saturday  gif
