u know the ones Trin.. they make 'em so as their outline's almost the same shape as the old 60 watt bulbs.. so you can use the lampshades that clip to the bulb itself on them

These are a set of old postcards that Mrs HC got for me coz she knows I like old photos of Southport. I've matched them up with a pic from (as near as possible) the same spot taken yesterday. I think the original photos were taken in the late 1920's or early 1930's, judging by the clothes the people are wearing.
I hope you find them interesting, if not particularly scenic :teehee:

My dad lives in and grew up in woodvale so will have to let him have a nose at those, he will love them  :thumbup:

Great stuff!  I was a pupil at St Johns School in the lat 40's. I walked along Sandbrook Rd daily during term time to our house at No1 Limont Road. Thanks for the memories!!  :thumbup: :thumbup:
