More a warning than a rant really, but be warned...

On Friday my Mum had her handbag nicked in Sainsburys on Lord St.
OK she shouldn't have hung it on the back of her trolley where it was easy for the little gits but even so...
Must have been some Scouse kids I reckon coz the bag turned up at Central Station (hidden under a seat) with all the contents intact apart from the cash. They had taken her purse out of the bag, removed the cash & put the purse back, but left credit cards etc which is why I say kids (& scouse coz the bag was left in Liverpool)
Fortunately the loss of the money is not a massive problem for Mum (even though it was quite a lot) but could just as easily been every penny she had to live on for the next couple of weeks if she was living on state pension alone.

So - be careful around the town centre & keep a tight hold of your bags etc.

I'm sorry to hear such a horrible thing has appened to your mum hope she isn't too shook up gif

I've had my purse nicked 3 times ...once in Liverpool, once in Southport and once when some one broke into my car in  my own front garden. Its not losing the money that upset me , the first time i had a broken necklace in my purse ready to be taken to be fixed which wasn't hugely valuable but had been given to me by my parents. Then there is the inconvenience of cancelling cards and waiting for new ones gif

Mum's OK thanks - more angry than anything now.

On the positive side, Sainsburys were great - even loaned her £4 for a taxi home coz she had no bus pass or money.

Glad to hear you mum is ok HC

Morrison's used to be the place to watch out ... but now Morrison's has moved the problem has moved location to Sainbury's on Lord St.

Sainbury's is notorious for addicts and thief's who will nick anything, which is left unattended for a nano second, to feed their dirty habits.
