Just had a phone call from some guy demanding to speak to the dadster - rude isn't the word :gasp:

Names changed to protect the innocent but it went something like

ring ring

hello?

JOHN SMITH

ARE YOU JOHN SMITH

erm.. could you tell me what this is in relation to?

ITS ABOUT THE COMPETITION. PUT ME ONTO JOHN SMITH

pardon?

ITS KRAFTMATIC BEDS ABOUT THE COMPETITION TO WIN A BED. JOHN SMITH

oh okay. hang on a sec.

My first job after school with Post Office Engineering Services, boring.

Once heard of a help desk having a recording of someone rubbing their thumb across an inflated balloon, was supposed to be very effective at reducing support calls and probably customers but it could be kept for salesmen.  I also liked the way that Tom Mabe dealt with the telemarketer.
