but seeing as I've just spent the last 2 hours dismantling our washing machine to remove an escaped wire from the drum assembly, I'm not quite as keen as I was

All back together now & seems to be working - no leaks or funny noises so far

all bra's go in a bag before they are put in the machine at our house now HC, I've done the strip down the washing machine looking for the bra wire thingy before, so now they are contained.

same here lurks you can buy a net bag with a zip for around a pound


save the shame of being in formed it was your bra, if you need a repair man

So THAT's where those darn things went! I wonder when our washer will choke up now and if there is as easy way to check it out without alerting him indoors.

I'm afraid not Dee, those damn wires get in places most other things cant, the machine needs stripping down to get them out, You will have to convince R it was his fault.
