I keep getting the recorded messages, they get as far as "hi this is" ........before I slam the damn phone down on them.

my grandad used to keep a whistle by phone and as soon as they started hed blow whistle as hard as cud, never gets them now x lol

I'm on that TPS list & to be fair, as soon as I registered most of the calls stopped, that was quite a while ago now.

But these must be coming from overseas I think.

One of them (that spoke, most are silent 'overflows' from automated call centres) even had the gall to argue the toss with us. I told them I was on the TPS & they said, oh, that's okay, it doesn't apply to us because we're in Italy. Now if I can just tell you about our free......'

I'm getting more and more of these calls and like you am on TPS ...... didn't realise for ages it didn't apply to overseas companies

I find the best one is to tell them you'll go and get the house owner, just put the phone down and leave it, they get fed up of waiting and hang up eventually, at least that stops them ringing someone else for a few minutes.

Now if everyone did that...
